Buckhead Medical Office Building Starts Construction

Developer the Loudermilk Companies has launched construction on a new medical office tower in Buckhead, just blocks off Peachtree Road at rapidly transforming Buckhead Triangle.

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the 120,000-square-foot project at 371 E. Paces Ferry Road is now underway, though the timeline for construction remains open-ended.

When proposed back in 2015, plans initially called for a five-story medical office building to rise on the site.

However, when plans were submitted for permitting nearly a year ago, the proposal had turned into a tower, slated to house a surgical center, primary care facilities, and pharmacy operations above three levels of parking, with 5,000-square-feet of retail at the base.

Fast-forward to last November, and renderings finally emerged of a rather run-of-the-mill black and white nine-story facility wrapping a seven-story parking deck with room for 485 cars.

With four tenants already lined up, nearly 30 percent of the space is spoken for.

The project is just one of many planned or underway in the Buckhead Village area. Expect to see more offices, retail, and residential development in the neighborhood around Buckhead Triangle.
