Tampa-based chain World of Beer, which currently has 63 locations in 19 states, is opening its first Atlanta outpost in Midtown on October 8. The roughly 4,000-square-foot tavern will feature more than 500 bottles and 53 rotating taps.
Several local breweries will be featured on the beverage menu, including including Burnt Hickory Brewery, Monday Night Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Red Brick Brewing, SweetWater Brewing Co., Terrapin Beer Co., and Three Taverns Brewery.
WOB-Midtown will serve lunch and dinner daily and host live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. The “tavern fare” menu will feature comfort food and a contemporary take on bar food, with dishes such as giant Bavarian pretzels, a Guinness “brat” slider, a Chimay burger, and desserts with beer-infused toppings.
It’s the second World of Beer to open in Georgia, following a franchise in Savannah, and a second Atlanta-area location is set to open soon in Kennesaw. The tavern, at 855 Peachtree Street NE, will be open daily from 11 a.m. to “close.”
